The Philosophy of Milestone Church includes five primary presuppositions for local church ministry:
EXPERIENCE
We believe a local church should provide an atmosphere where any individual, regardless of background, can come and experience the love and presence of Jesus.
SIMPLICITY
We believe the message of the Gospel is simple enough to be grasped by all. We keep our teaching,
worship services, and structure simple, yet challenging and engaging.
ACCOUNTABILITY
Believers who invest their heart, time, families and finances in the building of a local church deserve to have confidence in church leadership. It is important to know that pastors and staff conduct themselves with integrity and respect when making decisions both publicly and privately that affect the lives of others. Therefore, Milestone Church allows measured pastoral leadership in ministry matters and external elder control for overseeing the
Lead Pastor.

GIVING
Many people love to give, but need to have confidence in the methods and purposes used by organizations to which they give. Therefore, there are a great number of people willing to give if they are able to see honesty, integrity, and genuine spiritual values reflected in the lifestyles of their church leaders. All of Milestone's major financial matters are directed by the pastoral team and local leadership team, and is overseen by an external board of directors.
FREEDOM
Because the Bible gives everyone the freedom to receive or reject Christ, the freedom to make decisions on their own, and the freedom to receive the consequences or benefits of those decisions, Milestone Church also allows many freedoms. Milestone Church allows people full participation in communion,
water baptism, all
services,
small groups,
missions, etc., according to the individual's decision. The church keeps individual giving records confidential, as they are seen as an act of worship, not as a gauge of spirituality. The roles of the pastor and church government are to encourage people to fulfill their calling in God through biblical teaching, prayer, counsel, discipline and administration.
